Yes! Even if you just got your driver’s license, you can still rent a car in Corfu. However, its better to book a smaller category if you do not feel so experienced.

4)Is it legal to rent a car under 21?

Yes, it is completely legal to rent a car under 21 with us. Our minimum age requirement is just 18 years old as all our cars are insured for young and senior drivers.

Insurance and Protection

Yes! Every rental includes Basic Insurance with a standard Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).

2)What does basic insurance cover?

Basic insurance covers damage to the rental car, but it comes with an excess (deductible), meaning you’re responsible for a portion of repair costs.

3)What’s included in full insurance?

Full insurance reduces the excess, covering most damages while giving you greater peace of mind.

4)What’s covered by premium insurance?

Premium insurance offers the closest to zero excess possible, covering damages to tires, glass and providing full protection with no extra costs.

5)Is zero-excess coverage available?

Our Premium Insurance includes the closest to zero possible excess, so you can have peace of mind.

6)What is a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?

CDW limits your financial responsibility in case of damage, but it still includes an excess amount unless upgraded another insurance. It is included in the rental price.

7)Is theft protection included in the rental?

No! Theft Protection is not included in every rental, so you have to upgrade in Full or Premium package if you need theft protection.

8)Does the car hire include fire protection?

No! Fire Protection is not included in the basic insurance. If you need it you have to upgrade to Full or Premium Insurance Package.

9)Is personal belongings insurance available?

No! We do not offer personal belongings insurance in any of our insurance packages. If you need it you have to issue a third party one.

10)Do I need extra coverage for tires or glass damage?

Yes, Basic Insurance does not cover these damages, but our Premium Insurance fully covers tires and glasses.

11)Are there hidden fees in your insurance policies?

No! Our insurance options are transparent, with no hidden costs. What you see is what you pay. All costs are mentioned on our website and your confirmation email.

12)Does insurance cover additional drivers?

Yes, as long as additional drivers are registered on the contract, they will be covered under the same insurance policy.

13)What happens if I choose to decline extra insurance?

If you decline extra insurance, you’ll rent your car with the CDW (Basic Insurance) and be responsible for the excess mentioned on your booking.

14)What is the deductible or excess for insurance claims?

1)What payment methods are accepted for car rentals?

In contrast with all other car hire companies, UNO car hire accepts all form of payments. Cash, debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and mobile payments for maximum convenience. Keep in mind that our office has ATM service for our clients.

2)Can I pay with a debit card or prepaid card?

Yes! You can pay/leave deposit with a debit card or prepaid card without any issues.

3)Do you accept payments via American Express or cheque?

We accept American Express but do not accept cheques as a payment method.

4)Is a credit card mandatory for deposits or excess coverage?

No credit card is required! You can leave a deposit in cash, debit card, or mobile payment instead.

5)Can I leave a deposit in cash?

Yes! We accept cash deposits, so you don’t need a credit card to rent a car. Keep in mind that our office has ATM service for our clients.

6)What is the deposit or excess amount required?

Our office is located just 200 meters from the arrivals. We provide a free shuttle service to our office, where the contract will be completed. According to the law, the contract must be signed in official premises, and this also ensures safety for our clients.

4)Do you offer a shuttle service to your office?

We provide direct airport pickup, so you don’t have to wait or go anywhere else. You will receive all information needed on the pick up date.

5)Is the office walkable from the arrivals hall?

We booked our car online at UNO Corfu Car Rental a few weeks before our arrival. They offered good prices with the option to pay on arrival. They accept all kind of cards and cash for payment and deposit. They are located 5 mins walk from the airport but on the day of our arrival they contacted us and offered a pick up from the airport (also drop off to the airport when we returned the car). Car and paperwork were all ready when we arrived, staff was nice, renting procedure was quick an easy. Our car (new Nissan Micra) was nice and clean, took us everywhere on the island without any issue. On our next visit to Corfu we will choose UNO Corfu Car Rental again.
