No, we do not have a maximum age limit. As long as you have a valid driver’s license, you can rent a car from Corfu UNO car hire without restrictions.

3)Can newly licensed drivers rent a car?

Yes! Even if you just got your driver’s license, you can still rent a car in Corfu. However, its better to book a smaller category if you do not feel so experienced.

4)Is it legal to rent a car under 21?

Yes, it is completely legal to rent a car under 21 with us. Our minimum age requirement is just 18 years old as all our cars are insured for young and senior drivers.

5)Do I need a valid driver’s license from my home country?

Yes, you must present a valid driver’s license issued by your home country. It must be in Latin script or accompanied by an official translation.

6)Is an International Driving Permit (IDP) required in Corfu?

An IDP is required only if your driver’s license is not in Latin script (e.g., Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic).

7)How long must I have held a driver’s license to rent a car?

In contrast will the other car hire companies, Corfu UNO car hire does not have any limits. As long as you have a valid drivers license, you can rent a car. Even if its less than a month old.

8)Do additional drivers have to meet the same age and license requirements?

Yes, all additional drivers must meet the same requirements: at least 18 years old and have held a valid license.

9)Are there additional charges for drivers under 25 or over 70?

No, we do not charge extra for young or senior drivers. You pay the same price regardless of your age. The prices may differ due to the insurance price.

10)Can I rent a car if I’ve forgotten my driver’s license?

Unfortunately the drivers license is needed to hire a car. As long as you have a valid proof of your driving license (e.g., an official app from your country) you can hire the car.

11)Do you accept digital copies of driver’s licenses?

It is always better to have the physical copy with you. As long as you have the digital copy in an official form (e.g., an official app from your country) you can hire the car.

6) What happens if the car I reserved isn’t available?

UNO Corfu Car hire will always give you the same category as you have booked. If it’s unavailable, we’ll offer a similar or upgraded model at no extra cost and excess.

7) Is it possible to extend my rental after booking?

Yes! Just contact us with the request as soon as possible to extend your rental, subject to availability.

8) Can I modify my booking details after confirming?

Yes, you can change your booking details anytime for free. Just reach out to us for assistance.

9) Does the booking have to be in the main driver’s name?

Ιn contrast with all other car hire companies, UNO Corfu car hire doesn’t care if you put another name on your booking. We can change this locally at the office.

10) Is there a fee for canceling my booking?

Insurance and Protection

1)Is insurance included in the rental price?

Yes! Every rental includes Basic Insurance with a standard Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).

2)What does basic insurance cover?

Basic insurance covers damage to the rental car, but it comes with an excess (deductible), meaning you’re responsible for a portion of repair costs.

3)What’s included in full insurance?

Full insurance reduces the excess, covering most damages while giving you greater peace of mind.

4)What’s covered by premium insurance?

Premium insurance offers the closest to zero excess possible, covering damages to tires, glass and providing full protection with no extra costs.

5)Is zero-excess coverage available?

Our Premium Insurance includes the closest to zero possible excess, so you can have peace of mind.

6)What is a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?

CDW limits your financial responsibility in case of damage, but it still includes an excess amount unless upgraded another insurance. It is included in the rental price.

7)Is theft protection included in the rental?

No! Theft Protection is not included in every rental, so you have to upgrade in Full or Premium package if you need theft protection.

8)Does the car hire include fire protection?

No! Fire Protection is not included in the basic insurance. If you need it you have to upgrade to Full or Premium Insurance Package.

9)Is personal belongings insurance available?

No! We do not offer personal belongings insurance in any of our insurance packages. If you need it you have to issue a third party one.

10)Do I need extra coverage for tires or glass damage?

Yes, Basic Insurance does not cover these damages, but our Premium Insurance fully covers tires and glasses.

11)Are there hidden fees in your insurance policies?

No! Our insurance options are transparent, with no hidden costs. What you see is what you pay. All costs are mentioned on our website and your confirmation email.

12)Does insurance cover additional drivers?

Yes, as long as additional drivers are registered on the contract, they will be covered under the same insurance policy.

13)What happens if I choose to decline extra insurance?

If you decline extra insurance, you’ll rent your car with the CDW (Basic Insurance) and be responsible for the excess mentioned on your booking.

14)What is the deductible or excess for insurance claims?

The excess depends on the car category, the drivers age and the chosen insurance. The lowest possible is on the Premium Package.

Payment and Deposits

1)What payment methods are accepted for car rentals?

In contrast with all other car hire companies, UNO car hire accepts all form of payments. Cash, debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and mobile payments for maximum convenience. Keep in mind that our office has ATM service for our clients.

2)Can I pay with a debit card or prepaid card?

Yes! You can pay/leave deposit with a debit card or prepaid card without any issues.

3)Do you accept payments via American Express or cheque?

We accept American Express but do not accept cheques as a payment method.

4)Is a credit card mandatory for deposits or excess coverage?

No credit card is required! You can leave a deposit in cash, debit card, or mobile payment instead.

5)Can I leave a deposit in cash?

Yes! We accept cash deposits, so you don’t need a credit card to rent a car. Keep in mind that our office has ATM service for our clients.

6)What is the deposit or excess amount required?

The deposit depends on the car category, drivers age and insurance type. All the deposit/excess amounts are mentioned on website and on the confirmation email.

7)Are there any extra fees for international transactions?

No, we do not charge extra fees for international transactions. Any currency conversion fees depend on your bank.

8)Can someone else’s card be used to pay for my booking?

In contrast with all other car hire companies, UNO car hire accepts all cards even if they are not on the main drivers name.

9)Do you accept payments via mobile wallets or phone apps?

Yes! We accept Google Pay, Apple Pay, and all other mobile payment apps.

10)When will my deposit be refunded or unblocked?

Cash deposits are refunded immediately upon return, while card deposits are unblocked within 30 days (depending on your bank). Keep in mind that our office has ATM service for our clients.

11)Are there hidden fees/taxes I should know about?

No! Our pricing is fully transparent, with no hidden charges. What you see is what you pay. All costs are mentioned on our website and on our confirmation email.

12)Can I get an invoice for my car hire?

We can provide a full invoice for every rental, available in paper or digital format ONLY if you ask it upon arrival at the office. In any other case you will get a legal regular receipt.

1)How do I meet you for car pickup?

As mentioned on the booking confirmation on the pick up date we will contact you and arrange a pick up at Corfu Airport or your chosen pickup location.

2)How can I contact you on the day of pickup or drop-off?

You will receive a confirmation email with our contact details. You can email, message, or WhatsApp us anytime for assistance.

3)Can I pick up the car directly from Corfu Airport?

Our office is located just 200 meters from the arrivals. We provide a free shuttle service to our office, where the contract will be completed. According to the law, the contract must be signed in official premises, and this also ensures safety for our clients.

4)Do you offer a shuttle service to your office?

We provide direct airport pickup, so you don’t have to wait or go anywhere else. You will receive all information needed on the pick up date.

5)Is the office walkable from the arrivals hall?

Yes our office is only 200 meters away from the arrivals hall. You can always come on foot at our office and enjoy the sun after your flight. You can choose the “Walk-in” pick up option on your booking.

6)Is the shuttle service free of charge?

Our shuttle service is free of charge. No extra fees apply.

7)Can I arrange hotel delivery or pickup?

Yes! We offer delivery and pickup to all hotels, villas and apartments around Corfu Island. You can book that through our website choosing the “other location”.

8)Is it possible to drop off the car at a different location?

Yes! You can drop off the car at a different location, such as your hotel, or another arranged spot. You can book that through our website or arrange that upon arrival at the office.

9)What are your pickup and drop-off hours?

We operate 24/7, so you can pick up or return your car at any time that suits you, of course upon request so we are there to help you.

10)What happens if I’m late for pickup?

No worries! Your car will be waiting for you, and we track flight delays to adjust pickup times accordingly. We will also be in touch on pick up date so you can inform us there.

11)Do you charge extra for late returns?

We offer a grace period (30 minutes) for returns. If you need more time, contact us in advance to avoid extra charges. Relies on availability.

12)Can I return the car outside office hours?

Yes! We offer 24/7 drop-off, including late-night or early-morning returns at Corfu Airport or other locations. Ask at the office for more details.

13)What condition should the car be in upon return?

The car should be returned in the same condition as received, with the agreed fuel level. Do not worry about cleaning the car but it would be nice respecting the workers cleaning and keep the car in a good condition.

Fuel Policy

1)What is your fuel policy for rentals?

We operate on a Fair Fuel Policy: return the car with the same fuel level as when you picked it up (tank to tank).

2)Can I prepay for fuel?

Yes, we offer prepaid fuel option. You can simply book it through the “extras” page on your booking.

3)Do I need to refill the tank before returning the car?

You can always bring the car with the same level as you picked up, but you also have the option to pay the difference at the office.

4)What type of fuel should I use for your vehicles?

Use the fuel type indicated on the key tag or inside the fuel cap. Its always better to ask if you are not sure.

5)What should I do if I accidentally use the wrong fuel?

Do not start the car! Contact us immediately for assistance to avoid serious engine damage.

6)What happens if I drop off the car with more fuel level?

Unfortunately, UNO car hire can not buy the extra fuel. Please return the car with same (or less) fuel level.

7)Is it easy to find gas stations in Corfu?

In general and if there is not much traffic it will be easy to refuel your car. If you want to have peace of mind you can always pick the “prepaid fuel” on your booking.

1)Is driving in Corfu safe?

Yes! Driving in Corfu is generally safe, but roads can be narrow, winding, and hilly, so caution is advised, especially in villages.

2)Are Corfu’s roads suitable for all car types?

Most roads are fine for all car categories but some rural roads are better suited for economy categories, due to the narrow roads.

3)Are GPS systems available?

We do not offer GPS devices for rent but the GPS on your smartphone will work much better.

4)Is offline navigation or a map necessary?

Yes, we recommend downloading offline maps as mobile signal can be weak in remote areas.

5)Is parking readily available in Corfu?

Parking is free in many areas, but can be limited in Corfu Town and popular beaches. Arrive early to find a spot, especially in high season.

6)Are there toll roads in Corfu?

No! There are no toll roads anywhere in Corfu.

7)Are there restrictions on driving in certain areas?

Yes. Some historic old towns and pedestrian zones restrict vehicle access. Always check local signs.

8)Can I drive off-road or on unpaved roads?

No. Off-road driving is not allowed, and unpaved roads can cause damage not covered by any insurance.

9)What should I do in case of an accident?

7)Are child seats and boosters available?

Yes, we provide baby and booster seats upon request. The first one is free.

8)Is air conditioning available in all cars?

1)How many additional drivers can be added?

All the passengers of the car hire can be added as additional drivers as long as they have a valid driving license.

2)Is there an extra charge for additional drivers?

The first additional driver is free.There is a small daily fee for the next ones.

3)Do additional drivers need to be present at pickup?

No, the additional drivers do not have to be present at the time of pickup but their documents (driving license and passport/id) should be.

4)Can I add an additional driver after booking?

Yes, you can add an additional driver at any time before or during the rental period by visiting our office.

5)Do additional drivers need their own insurance?

No, they do not need separate insurance. They are covered under the main rental agreement.

6)What happens if the additional drivers are in different age group?

1)Can I take the car to mainland of Greece?

Yes, but you must inform us in advance or choose from the extras the “Mainland Ferrying Fee” and get the car insured for this type of travel.

Yes, ferry crossings are allowed, but you must notify us before travel or choose from the extras the “Mainland Ferrying Fee” and get the car insured for this type of travel.

3)Do I need special insurance for ferry crossings?

Standard insurance does not cover any damage during ferry transport.

4)Can I drive the car to other countries?

No, our rental cars cannot be taken outside Greece in any way.

5)Are there restrictions on taking the car out of Corfu?

Yes, taking the car outside of Corfu requires prior approval and extra insurance.

6)Can I drive to Albania from Corfu?

No, taking the car to Albania is not allowed in any way. You can not take any Greek rental to Albania.

1)What should I do if the car breaks down?

Contact us immediately at the emergency number provided in your rental agreement. Do not attempt to repair the car yourself or move the car.

2)What should I do if i have a flat tire?

Contact us immediately at the emergency number provided in your rental agreement. If you are able, replace the tire, otherwise ask for our help.

3)What if a pre-existing damage is blamed on me?

We carefully inspect all cars before rental. On the pick up date the customer must take photos of the damages and send it to us. More information will be given at the office.

4)How should I document pre-existing damages?

Take clear photos and a video of the car before driving. Ensure all damage is recorded in the rental agreement.

5)Should I report minor damages like scratches or small dents?

Yes, always report any new damage, no matter how small, to avoid issues when returning the car. We really appreciate the customers who doesn’t try to hide the damages.

6)What happens if I damage the car during the rental period?

Inform us immediately. The amount you are responsible of depends on the type of insurance coverage you selected.
